INTRODUCTION
This guideline of the rules and regulations for Sekolah Menengah Taman Ilmu dan Budi (SETIABUDI) is the school's policies and procedures concerning conduct and discipline of the students. It shall be known as the “Book of Student's Conduct and Discipline Code”. This code of discipline is applicable to all students registered as a student of Sekolah Menengah Taman Ilmu dan Budi. All students of this school are required to comply with the rules and regulations of the school and shall not act contrary to these rules and regulations or the Islamic code of conduct as prescribed by the Shariah, or neglect Islamic duties which are obligatory upon them in private or public within or outside the school compound. A breach of any part of the rules and regulations shall be an offence against the school.
OBJECTIVES
To establish standards of student conduct and enforcement procedures designed to provide that education in the schools be conducted in an atmosphere free of disruption and threat to persons or property and supportive of individual rights.
To develop in each student a positive attitude toward self-discipline and Islamically acceptable behavior.
To foster sound educational practice and productive learning.
To allow for reasonable and appropriate counter measures in dealing with disruptive students.
DISCIPLINE UNIT
The purpose of the Discipline Unit is to legislate and form a standard of student's conduct as well as the enforcement procedures designed to provide that education in the schools be conducted in an atmosphere free of disruption and threat to persons or property and supportive of individual rights. It also helps to develop in each student a positive attitude toward self-discipline and Islamically acceptable behavior.
COUNSELING & GUIDANCE UNIT
The purpose of the Counseling and Guidance Unit is to help students become better able to understand themselves and others, develop positive self concepts, and to encourage positive self direction and responsible behavior. Through this unit, current educational, occupational, personal and social information will be available for the students.
IBADAH & STUDENT'S WELFARE UNIT
The major purpose of the Ibadah & Student's Welfare Unit is to inculcate and practice the Islamic values and principles among students as well as the teachers in this school. The unit will ensure all students and teachers comply with the Islamic code of conduct as prescribed by the Shariah and perform the Islamic duties which are obligatory upon them in private or public within or outside the school compound.
It is also about the student's welfare and necessity.

Monday-Thursday : 8.00 am – 4.00 pm
Friday : 8.00 am – 3.20 pm
* Co-Curricular activities are held on every Thursday and students have to stay back until 5.30 pm unless there are any changes mentioned by Co-curricular unit.

Students are allowed to wear yellow long sleeve with the black long skirt.
LIST OF PROHIBITED ITEMS IN THE SCHOOL:
- Radio, walkman, Discman and any sets of electronic games
- Cassette, CD or VCD
- Any playing or gambling cards
- Books or magazines containing elements of Pornography, violence, black magic, deteriorating akidah and akhlak.
- Hand phone
- Cigarette, Tobacco and any kind of drugs
- Flammables, fireworks
- Jewelries and make-up
- Badges, batch, sticker containing the elements of porno, politics and games.
- Any kind of the sharp things, weapons and dangerous items.
- T-shirt or pants that are not allowed to wear in the school
Attention:
Any item listed above if found, will be confiscated and proper action will be taken against the offender.
The list is subject to change as deemed necessary from time to time.
